چکیده
3D ceramic parts are of great interest for various applications including aerospace, defense, electronics, photonics, and biomedical. Yet, additive manufacturing ceramics is challenging due to their poor machinability. Herein, two approaches based on the chemical modification silicon resins obtain UV-curable preceramic precursors SiOC described. The dual functionality synthesized acting both as precursor photopolymerizable entity under UV light exploited. A set characterization techniques has allowed investigation mechanisms involved in synthesis inorganic according following approaches: (1) blend resin with photoactive monomers (2) a single source resin. correlation between nature properties derived analyzed. From technological point view, materials can be fabricated dense or crack-free porous customized objects low mass loss optimal surface quality.

Gradient-Hierarchic-Aligned Porosity SiOC Ceramics
This work describes a simple technique to produce porous ceramics with aligned porosity having very high permeability and specific surface area. SiOC-based compositions were processed from blends of three types of preceramic polymer and a catalyst, followed by curing and pyrolysis. The heating applied from the bottom of molds promoted the nucleation, expansion and rising of gas bubbles, and the...

Aerodynamically focused nanoparticle (AFN) printing was demonstrated for direct patterning of the solvent-free and inorganic nanoparticles. The fast excitation-purge control technique was proposed and investigated by examining the aerodynamic focusing of nanoparticles and their time-scale, with the analytical and experimental approaches. A series of direct patterning examples were demonstrated ...
متن کاملDirect 3D-printing of cell-laden constructs in microfluidic architectures.
Microfluidic platforms have greatly benefited the biological and medical fields, however standard practices require a high cost of entry in terms of time and energy. The utilization of three-dimensional (3D) printing technologies has greatly enhanced the ability to iterate and build functional devices with unique functions. However, their inability to fabricate within microfluidic devices great...
متن کاملInkjet Printing Ceramics: From Drops to Solid
Inkjet printing is a powerful microfabrication tool that has been applied to the manufacture of ceramic components. To successfully fabricate ceramic objects a number of conditions must be satisfied concerning fluid properties and drop placement accuracy. It has been proposed that fluids are printable within the bounds 1 <Z < 10 (where Z is the inverse of the Ohnesorge number) and these limits ...
متن کاملThermal Properties of SiOC Glasses and Glass Ceramics at Elevated Temperatures
In the present study, the effect of the chemical and phase composition on the thermal properties of silicon oxide carbides (SiOC) has been investigated. Dense monolithic SiOC materials with various carbon contents were prepared and characterized with respect to their thermal expansion, as well as thermal conductivity. SiOC glass has been shown to exhibit low thermal expansion (e.g., ca. 3.2 × 1...
